Mr Khalid Shaikh

Khalid is the General Manager Compressor Technique Business Area for Malaysia and Singapore.

Mechanical Engineer by profession.

Completed engineering degree from the University of Bombay in 1992.

Worked across different companies in India, Middle East & Southeast Asia with close to 30 years of active work experience with the last 20 years being with Atlas Copco the present employer.

Atlas Copco is the world’s largest Air Compressor Manufacturing company with over 6.5B USD revenues in 2022 for the compressor business alone and 16B USD overall.

Atlas Copco globally employs over 52,000 people, operates in 180 markets worldwide has been operating in Malaysia since 1982 employing over 200 people in Malaysia.

Atlas Copco has been innovating for over 150 years and loves to be called as the “Home of Industrial Ideas”

Khalid’s journey with Atlas Copco started in the year 2003 as Sales Manager followed by several interim positions in the organization in different countries across the Middle East region.

Before coming over to Malaysia in the present role, Khalid was heading one of the divisions of Atlas Copco Compressor Technique as Business Line Manager – Oil free air division based in Dubai, UAE.

Today as a General Manager Khalid’s responsibility encompasses Managing the compressor technique business in both Malaysia and Singapore and help the company evolve as a key player in bringing focus on Sustainability and sustainable production and reducing the climate impact created by industrial manufacturing.
